Dr. Mazer, a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, has been in practice since 1979 and is residency trained.
Dr. Abdalla joined the practice in October 2019 after completing a Vision Therapy based residency in Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr. Marina Abdalla, O.D.
Dr. Abdalla joined the practice in October 2019 after completing a Vision Therapy based residency in Bethesda, Maryland. Originally from Egypt, Dr. Abdalla spent most of her childhood living in Weston, Florida.
After completing elementary, middle and high school in Weston, she attended Nova Southeastern University where she received her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Visual Science with a minor in Psychology in 2014.
She graduated and received her Doctor of Optometry degree, also from Nova Southeastern University in 2018. She continued her education by pursuing a private practice residency focusing on primary care, Vision therapy and Neuro-Rehabilitation.
Dr. Abdalla will be pursuing Fellowship from the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (FCOVD), and she is currently a provider for the InfantSEE program.
Professional memberships include the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, and Broward County Optometric Association. She has been a resident of South Florida since 2003. Hobbies include kayaking, hiking, and traveling to experience new cultures.
Dr. Harvey Mazer, O. D., FCOVD
Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Harvey Mazer has called South Florida home since 1980. He has been practicing as a board-certified optometrist in the area ever since, first in the Miami area and later in Weston. Dr. Mazer’s first Weston practice, established in 1989, was the very first optometric office ever opened in Weston.
Dr. Mazer got his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maryland in 1975. He went on to study at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, earning his doctorate from the institution in 1979. He completed his residency at the Southern California College of Optometry in Pediatric and Developmental Vision Care, and became a fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development in 1984.
In addition to working with Dr. Kramer and Dr. Zubkousky at the Weston Contact Lens Institute, Dr. Mazer is also a consulting physician with the HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital in Sunrise, Florida. Specifically, he works with patients who have suffered vision loss in the wake of strokes or head trauma.
